Studio Shoot with The Motherhood Chronicles – Portland Newborn Photographer

It was a a beautiful sunny day in the Pacific Northwest but it was FREEZING outside. Below freezing, actually. I was grateful to have booked this natural light studio in Battle Ground, Washington and my Vancouver client met me there with her adorable baby boy.

River is one year old and absolutely delightful in every way! From his toothy grin and sweet hugs to his rolly-polly legs and arms. This duo was so fun to shoot with and we had the best time!

There is something truly magical about the bond between a mother and her child. It’s a connection that transcends words, a love that is felt deep within the soul. As a photographer, there are few things as rewarding as capturing this unbreakable bond through the lens of a camera. This heartwarming photography session captured the essence of a mother and her toddler at such a fun stage.

The Bond That Transcends Words

The session began with mom and baby cuddled up, while he nursed and woke up slowly from his nap in the car. Mama’s eyes sparkled with unconditional love and tenderness as she cradled her baby in her arms. The little love gazed up at his mama with a mixture of trust and adoration, wondering who the new person in the room was. My camera clicked, capturing a moment frozen in time and the toddler warmed up to me with a curious smile.

As the session progressed, the duo engaged in a series of playful activities. Mama lifted her baby into the air, tickled his belly and kissed his cheeks, causing peals of laughter. Baby’s bright eyes and infectious smile reflected the sheer joy and exhilaration of the moment.
